Common Surgical techniques are
- Tension free Sutureless - Trabucco (85%)
- Tension free Non Sutureless – Lichtenstein (15%)
Common anesthesiological strategies are fundamentalally two:
- Local anesthesia - peripheral regional native place (93%)
- Spinal anesthesia - general Anesthesia (7%)
In nearly the totality of the cases it was used local and/or peripheral anesthesia,
choosing other type of anesthesia depends by the clinical conditions, or the type of the hernia.
Results
Those are the result obtained:
Complete healing in 98,9% of the patients;
Recurrences in 1,1% (with controls at 7, 30, 365 days).
Short term complications (infection and bruise) are about the 0.3%
of the total, with full restoration in few days (check after 30 days) Long term complications (infection and testidular atrophy) are about 0.1%, with check after 1 year.
